Call Us+91 954 002 5025Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital is a part of the Centre for Child Health. It offers a wide range of services for complex medical and surgical neonatal problems, overseen by a highly dedicated team of Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurses, and Allied Health Specialists. They follow a multidisciplinary approach to offer comprehensive care to a patient with extensive cooperation from many other teams and departments within the hospital.
Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has 3 separate areas for babies who require special care including:
- Level III NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
- Step down nursery for unborn babies
- An isolation area
It also has a state-of-the-art Foetal and Paediatric Cardiology Department where Foetal Echocardiography is done for high-risk pregnancy. These tests give an insight not only into the cardiac problems during the antenatal period but also the non-cardiac issues which could have a major impact on the management of the baby. All babies born in our hospital are subjected to OAE (Otoacoustic Emission) test for detecting hearing loss.
