The Department has state of art “Foot Clinic” with all modern sophisticated diagnostic facilities to find out foot diseases well in advance and provides exemplary care for foot health and illnesses focused on patient-centric treatment and evidence-based individual therapy. We have a well-trained and educated ‘podiatry team’ lead by a well acclaimed podiatrist who is highly experienced in dealing with all types of foot problems & managing non healing Diabetic foot ulcers. He follows a mufti-disciplinary approach to offer assessment, counseling and management services related to all foot problems including management of chronic diabetic foot ulcer.
The department also has a “Wound Care Centre” for managing acute & chronic non healing wounds of all types like Diabetic foot ulcers, Vascular/ gangrenous ulcers, Neuropathic ulcers, Bed sores, Stoma ulcers etc.

Diabetic foot care:
Diabetes often causes damage to different parts of your body, including your feet known as ‘Diabetic Foot’. In severe cases, your doctor may need to cut off (amputate) toes, different parts or whole of your foot, or even an entire leg. After trauma, diabetes is the most common cause of amputation of lower limb.But podiatrists can help people with diabetes keep their feet healthy and possibly prevent amputation.
