What are the different types of treatment procedures comes under Andrology

  • Erectile Dysfunction (Impotence) Psychosexual Counselling:-Erectile Dysfunction (Impotence): The inability of a man to attain an erection during the sexual act refers to a disorder known as Erectile Dysfunction. However, this disorder can be psychological in origin and is termed as a psychosexual disorder. There are multiple factors contribute to such disorder including:
    • The general health of the patient
    • Chronic illnesses
    • Psychiatric disorders
    • Socio-cultural factors

We at BLK-Max, cure such disorders by providing proper counselling sessions to male suffering from ED. Our sex therapists aim at helping the patient to get back to his normal sex life with proper counselling and treatment approaches.

  • Medicines for Male Sexual Disorders:-The first line of treatment that a doctor provides is oral medication. A patient is prescribed to take some oral medicine having sildenafil citrate as an active pharmaceutical ingredient. These medicines are usually taken an hour before sexual activity. However, for having desirable results a patient must be sexually stimulated.
  • Use of Intracavernosal Injections:
  • Intracavernosal injection therapy is considered one of the most efficacious treatment options with better tolerance and usually preferred over the transurethral application of medication. This therapy is given to the patient who fails to respond to oral medications and has no history of Peyronie’s disease.
  • Vacuum Erection Devices:A vacuum constriction device (VCD) consists of an acrylic cylinder with an external pump and a band. Men with ED use to get an erection and maintain it for a desirable time. The VCD is attached externally at the end of the penis and the constriction ring or band is applied to the body by placing it on the cylinder at the other end. The device is used to create a vacuum to help the penis become erect and maintain the erection.
  • Penile Implants: Penile implants are the devices that are surgically placed inside the man’s penis, in order to help men with erectile dysfunction (ED) to get an erection. These implants are typically recommended only if the other treatments for ED fail.
