I am overjoyed to share this incredible news about our group hospital in Delhi- BLK Super Speciality Hospital being recently awarded as the “Best Multispeciality Hospital - Metro” at the prestigious CNBCTV18’s India Healthcare & Wellness Awards, 2018. The unwavering passion for providing the highest standard of healthcare is the sole reason that has made BLK one of the best hospitals in the country.

Like every month, we bring you a varied collection of intriguing case stories and informative pieces that you will surely find interesting. The cover story features the case of a 6-year old boy with a case of Thalassemia Major who needed regular PRBC transfusions every 18- 20 days. With Stem Cells harvested from his sister’s bone marrow and skilful intervention by the experts at our group hospital in Mumbai, the boy received a fresh start to a new healthier life.

Other stories include a rare case of Intrahepatic Pseudocyst of the pancreas in a male patient of 55 with complaints of severe pain in the abdomen. Another similar case is an inspiring story of a 4-year-old boy who was nursed to walk for the first time in his life after receiving the treatment for a rare genetic skin disorder. There’s also a case of a 50-year old patient diagnosed with life-threatening Urinary Bladder Cancer and how innovative surgical interventions came to his rescue.
